The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully launched its next-generation communication satellite, marking another milestone in India's space program.
The satellite, launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, will provide high-throughput broadband connectivity to underserved rural areas across the country. It carries advanced Ka-band and Ku-band transponders capable of delivering internet speeds up to 100 Gbps.
ISRO Chairman stated that this launch represents a significant step toward bridging the digital divide in India. The satellite will serve approximately 50 million users in remote areas where traditional terrestrial infrastructure is not feasible.
